Transitioning to Renewable Energy Will Lead to a Better World

All around the world, the prevalence and magnitude of natural disasters, drought, floods, animal extinction, and violence have increased substantially in the past century. The Earth's climate has changed, and will continue to change through its natural cycles, but the rate in which it has changed has led scientists to believe that it is human-induced. Human-induced climate change is perpetuated by greenhouse gas emissions, which occur during the extraction, production, and transportation stages of fossil fuel use. Increased renewable energy use does not have a harmful effect on the environment and has an infinite supply, unlike non-renewable energy. Taking better care of our earth will ensure that future generations have the opportunity to prosper, unhindered by extreme weather events, lack of food, poor air quality, and unclean water.
